New Class in the Mail!
By admin | January 15, 2010

Petal Party Class
This is the perfect class to help you get organised for upcoming birthdays in 2010!
You will make 18 gorgeous, bright and happy cards using the “Petal Party” Simply Scrappin’ Kit! I have just completed this class for myself and it took me about 2 hours to do - and that included many interuptions from the kids!!!!! I am REALLY happy with the cards they look great! Whats more, it only takes a little more than half the kit to make them all so I have lots of supplies left over to either make some more or to use in a scrapbook page - fantastic!!
In your “class in the mail” kit you will receive:
1 Full Petal Party Simply Scrappin kit.
18 pre-cut Whisper White card bases.
Pre-cut ribbon, brads plus any other required embellishment.
Full, step-by-step instructions for each card.
All postage costs will also be covered.
You will need to supply:
All adhesives and Stampin’ Dimensionals, basic black ink (or any other colour you wish), any greetings stamps of your choice.
Envelopes
The cost of this class in the mail is $46.00 - that works out at about $2.60 per card and to make it even better value, I will add 18 top quality Stampin’ Up! envelopes to the first 10 orders!!!!
Hope to hear from you soon,
Karen

Happy New Year To You All!!!
By admin | January 15, 2010
Hello again, everybody and welcome to 2010!
Thanks to all of you who have kept checking my blog for updates over the past few weeks. I had a bit of a break from Stampin’ and all things craft!!!!!! It all got a bit much over the “silly season” but I’m back now and have lots to show you all!
I’m going to start with a Christmas present I received from my very good friend and downline, Kelly. It is a card organiser and is SO easy to make (so she tells me!!).
She has used the Urban Garden DSP - which is my very favourite!! I just love the colours in this paper. The front is so simple but really effecxtive, the paper pattern provides all the decoration needed and Kel has added on board letters first daubed with Baja Breeze ink then covered with Crystal Effects for the glossy look and finished off with some double stitched Grosgrain ribbon in Baja Breeze. Inside each month has a perpetual calendar to write the birthdays on plus a pocket to put your card in - how organised is that!!
If there is enough demand to make one of these organisers, Kel and myself can hold a workshop either here in Warrandyte or over in Strathmore or send out a pack plus instructions for you to make at home as a class in the mail - just let me know.

Special thanks to Liv for taking these photos for me with her new camera!!

Wedding Cards!
By admin | November 11, 2009

Wedding cards
After my workshop on Monday morning for Kirsten who is a new member of my downline, I decided to have a little play. With our stint at the Pines shopping Centre selling cards getting closer by the day, I thought I might try to come up with a couple of Wedding Cards to add to our collection. What better than the lovely Pretties Kit for cards like these, both the flowers and hat pins lend themselves to wedding cards.
This is the result of my play!! I have seen the colour combination before and loved it - Chocolate Chip, Pink Pirouette and Riding Hood Red. I’ve also seen the idea of tying a ribbon around the hat pin but have never done it before as it looked far too fidly for me - however, I was pleasantly surprised as it wasn’t fiddly at all - very quick and easy in fact!
I do have other projects to upload - getting around to it is the issue at the moment!!
See Ya,
Karen

Update and Last Months Christmas Stamp-a-Stack!
By admin | October 8, 2009
Well, I’m now home after 2 weeks visiting family in the UK with my boys. We had a lovely time but its always good to be back home. Olivia stayed home with Dad so it was good to see them both when they met us at the airport. Now all we have to do is get over this pesky jet-lag - so far we’ve all been up at 4.00 am!!!! Roll on a good nights sleep!!!! Many thanks to my regular Friday evening techniques group who have allowed me to reschedule their class until later in the month!!!!! Guess they didn’t fancy me turning up with matchsticks holding my eyes open!!!
My uploading problems seem to have resolved themselves - no idea what the problem was but I just tried to upload the same image I had been trying before I went away - and BINGO!! it worked - lets hope it stays working!!
Thank you to all you ladies who turned up for my last Christmas stamp-a-stack. Despite flickering lights (due to high winds) we all managed to make 9 Christmas cards using the Tree Trimmings stamp set and the Ski Slope DSP (both from the Spring Mini). Here are the designs - we made 3 of each. Those of you who ordered the kit in the mail, you should have received it by now - please let me know if not.

Stamp - a - Stack - Tree Trimmings
The next Stamp-a-stack is scheduled for the evening of Friday 23rd October. Put the date in your diary and I’ll send details out over the next couple of days.

By admin | September 23, 2009
Unfortunately I have not managed to sort out the uploading problems and with school holidays now well and truly happening, I will not be able to get back to it for a couple of weeks.
Be sure to check back then as I have SO many photos to show you.
Cheers for now
