Better Late Than Never!!

By admin | September 7, 2009

Here as promised are a couple of my favourite swaps from Augusts Stampin’ Up! Incentive Trip.

This first one was made by Marelle who is a very talented demonstrator living in Sydney -  I think I may have featured one of her cards on here before. She always has clean crisp lines to her work - a style I really like. She uses the stamp set “Animal Crackers” featured on p52 of the IBC. This is a set that I didn’t have, but after seeing Marelles card, simply had to have - thanks Marelle!!!!!

This second project is actually a gift card holder utilising an envelope!! and was made by Kim from Brissy. Kim has become a great friend since we first met at last years incentive trip and we were both lucky enough to earn this years trip so we met up again in Noosa. Once again I love her work, she uses bright happy colours and this reflects her sunny personality.

This project uses Petal Pizazz (p98 of IBC) a set which I have used such a lot - an absolute MUST for your collection!!

Both cards use our Designer Sereies Paper to great effect, the first one uses Windsor Knot, while the second uses Pink Flamingo.

Tomorrow I’ll upload some photos of a couple of favourite swap cads and tags made by members of my downline and swapped at our latest group swaps.

Till then,

Karen

Home from Noosa!!

Incentive Trip group photo
Incentive Trip group photo

Well, what a trip!! Kelly and I returned home from our Stampin’ Up! Incentive Trip on Sunday. It was a fabulous, all expenses paid, 5 nights stay at the Sheraton Noosa! We had a ball!!!! We met lots of other demonstrators, spent time by the pool (the weather was SUPERB!), had massages, facials, breakfast in bed, cooked with Chef’s at the top restaurant “Ricky’s”, were taken to our final evenings dinner by vintage car and……. of course, STAMPED!!!!!!!!

Stampin’ Up! certainly know how to look after their demonstrators -  no expense was spared in laying on a fabulous holiday for us all and the icing on the cake was a different surprise gift beautifully presented to us each day.

Above is a group photo of all the achieving Australian and New Zealand demonstrators, together with Aaron and Emma (Aus and NZ country Managers), Dave Baugh - Vice President International Operations and of course, the great Shelli Gardner, co-founder and CEO of Stampin’ Up!

This next photo shows us at our make - and - take table. There is Robyn, the gorgeous Kim from Brissy, Liz, Jannine who is also from Melbourne, Kelly and myself.

Unfortunately I cannot show you what we made as we were lucky enough to use some products from the upcoming SUMMER mini catalogue (wow, you’ll LOVE ‘em!) and we are not allowed to show until a month before publication (that will be November).

I’m not going to bore you all with millions of photos and pages of recounts suffice to say a  Stampin’ Up incentive trip is a fantastic experience and very achievable. If you think you may like to have a go at achieving next years  fabulous trip - in Hamilton Island!!!!, come and join my team and I’ll support you in achieving your dreams as much as I possibly can!

Over the weekend I’ll post a couple of my very favourite swaps from other achieving demonstrators, so check back soon.

By admin | August 18, 2009

I’m off to Noosa tomorrow on the Stampin’ Up! incentive trip. I’ll be taking my daughter, Liv and the boys will be staying home with Rick, so a bit of a girly trip!!!!

There will be about 30 other demonstrators who have also achieved the trip from Australia and NZ (Kelly will be one of them), together with their partners (or  friends or in my case, daughter!) Also there will be Aaron and Emma (Australia and NZ Country Managers) and of course Shelli Gardner herself - Co-Founder and CEO of Stampin’ Up!!

Part of our trip is swapping cards with all the other demonstrators …..so here is a photo of my 40 swap cards!!!!

As promised, pics of the projects se all made at my open house on Sunday. I only have photos of 2 of the projects, the third was a 6 x 6 scrap book page which Kel has, so I can’t photograph it for you. It is very similar to the one shown on p4 of the spring mini, using the Sense of Time set.

Open House Pics!

By admin | August 10, 2009

Sunday saw our spring mini launch open house. This time we combined it with a “retired rubber rummage”!!!!!! Kelly and I sold off  some of our retired stamps and accessories. We had about 40 ladies through the house during the afternoon and we all had a blast!! We did 3 make-and -takes, had champers, nibbles, tea and coffee and most importantly, lots of laughs!

CONGRATULATIONS  to Alison and Maree - both ladies won baskets of goodies which I promise I will deliver later this week!!!! Special thanks to Leanne and my daughter, Liv, who helped us out on the day.

Here are a few photos to show you taken during the afternoon.

Superstampers Group Swap!!

By admin | August 7, 2009

Some of my “Superstamper” downline took part in a Spring Mini swap over the last couple of weeks. I love taking part in these swaps, its so good to share ideas with each other. I’ll post them below and mention who made them. Here goes!

This first one was the swap that I made. It uses the lovely “Great Friend” stamp set together with the pretty pretty pretty Walk in the Park Designer Series Paper.

These 2 cards were made by Kirsty and Jenny H, Jenny has embossed the black butterflies which does not show up on this really poor photo!!! It looks really effective.

Its quite clear which is the favourite stamp set in this new Spring Mini Catalogue!!! These cards were made by Michelle, Bec and Jenny A. Michelle has gold embossed some of the leaves and a butterfly on her card, which again looks very effective.

Now onto some different stamp sets!! Here Karen D and Leanne have used images from the “Just Beachy” set. They are very colourful, fun cards - thanks girls!

Here Kelly and Kasey have used the “Choo Choo” set plus the “Right on Track” wheel. Kel has clear embossed the track and the blue strip going across the middle has been run through the paper crimper. Her steam puffs  (sounds a bit like a biscuit!!) have been created by using the “Trio Flower” punch - lovely card, Kel!  Kasey has carefully cut out all of the little windows on the train and placed underneath some cute little  animals from the “Wild about You” set - very creative, Kasey!!

Kelly and Kasey's swap

Finally Corinna has used the cute “Forest Friends” set and the lovely Parisian Breeze Specialty Designer Series Paper - this is a much thicker card weight paper and can actually be used for a card without using cardstock behind it.  Tania’s card uses the Scallop oval punch and “Oval All” stamp set. This punch and set is FANTASTIC and I rekon should be at the top of everybodies wish list!!

Finally we had just 1 Christmas card in our swaps which was made by Tina using the fun “Season’s Surfin’ “set!

I’d love to know which one is YOUR favourite - please leave me a message  and let me know.

Well that’s it for now. As you can see, I have some lovely talented girls with me in the Superstampers group - if you would like to join us, please give me a call of drop me an e-mail to find out how!!

bye for now,

Karen
